Call for Community Support - Bring Trader Joe’s to Frederick!

It has long been the desire of the Frederick community to have a grocery store in downtown. The former Carmack Jay’s grocery store building located at 331 North Market Street in downtown Frederick was long ago pinpointed as a perfect location for a new specialty foods store. The current property owner, Douglas Development Corporation, is now seeking to lease the newly-renovated 16,000 square foot facility.

Douglas Development is working to recruit Trader Joe’s, a specialty grocery store with everything from basic needs to unique and exotic selections. To be successful in this effort, the City of Frederick Department of Economic Development and Douglas Development are asking for the support of the residents, businesses and property owners throughout the City. Please take an active role in bringing this possibility to fruition!
