CLASSIFIED TO PLAY SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Take a trip back to the 1980’s with Classified, star of this week’s Summer Concert Series performance in Frederick’s Baker Park. The performance begins at 7 PM, and is preceded by a carillon concert that begins at 6:15 PM.

Classified is highly regarded as probably the best musical and vocal band in Washington D.C. The band has been together for over 15 years, and in that time they have performed for festivals, concerts, nightclubs and corporate events, building a large and loyal following of fans along the way.

The band plays rock and roll, but they take it one step further with some of the best vocals of any band, local or national. The harmonies shine, and the soul in their voices breaks through with flying colors. It’s a band worth going out of your way to see - just be prepared to stay awhile, you won’t want to leave early!

Don’t miss the carillon concert that starts at 6:15 PM. Carilloneur Clarie Marie Moblard will take a turn with the bells. She has a degree in organ performance from the University of Southern California, and has studied with Frederick’s city carilloneur John Widmann for nearly three years.

While the event is free, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission to support the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank.
