RIVER
& TRAIL OUTFITTERS TO BEGIN BOAT OPERATIONS ON CULLER
LAKE THIS WEEKEND
Frederick,
Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce
that River & Trail Outfitters will begin Boat Operations
this coming weekend at Culler Lake. This weekend will
be a test period with the following hours of operations:
Saturday, June 19 1 - 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 20 1 - 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 22 through Friday, June 25 Evening hours
only
5 - 8:30 p.m.
River
& Trail Outfitters was awarded a one-year contract
on June 15, 2004 by the Board of Aldermen for the management
of boat rental operations for the City of Frederick’s
Culler Lake and Carroll Creek Linear Park. River &
Trail has provided boat rental operations within the
City for over 15 years at various special events including:
The Frederick 4th Celebration, Frederick Festival of
the Arts, and In The Streets.
During
this test period River & Trail will be renting;
five (5) 16 foot Intrepid Canoes, five (5) Perception
Swifty Solo Kayaks, two (2) Perception Tandem Kayaks,
five (5) Paddle Boats. The company may add additional
boats based upon demand.
Boats
will be rented for $5.00 per half hour for solo rides
and $10.00 per half hour for tandem rides.
Restrooms
at the Boat House on Culler Lake will be open to the
public during rental hours.
