STONEGATE DEVELOPMENT ROAD WORK

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick’s Department of Public Works will be crack sealing the roadways in the Stonegate area as a routine preventative maintenance procedure. This commonly used technique extends the life of the pavement by three to five years depending on the severity of the pavement distress. This is a significantly less expensive than repaving a street. Work will take place June 3 - 11, weather permitting.

In order for the City to complete this work, the road surface needs to be cooler than 85 degrees, clean and dry. As a result the City will have a crew blowing out the cracks in advance of the actual sealing. Local traffic will be allowed and disruptions will be minimal.
