CITY NAMES McGILL AS NEW COMMUNITY OUTREACH ASSISTANT

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce that Sara E. McGill, of Frederick, is the new community outreach assistant and marketing analyst in the Office of Citizen Services. McGill’s main responsibilities will be working with the 12 Neighborhood Awareness Councils, coordinating Frederick 101 and the Frederick Leadership Academy, and fostering the numerous partnerships between the city and residents.

McGill is a graduate of American University with a degree in Communications. She joined the City in the summer of 2003 as an intern in the Public Information Office and was then contracted by the City to assist the manager of the Capital Improvements Project department. McGill also assisted in special projects and marketing for the Weinberg Center for the Arts. She replaces Sarah Finefrock who left her post to join the Mayor’s staff as the scheduling assistant for Mayor Dougherty.
