FAA ISSUES A FONSI FOR RUNWAY EXTENSIONS
AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS AT THE
FREDERICK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Frederick, Md. --- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recently approved the Environmental Assessment and issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Runway Extensions and Related Improvements at the Frederick Municipal Airport. The FONSI has been issued as a result of the completion of the Environmental Assessment process for this project in conformance with requirements set forth by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. Copies of the FONSI signed by the Approving Official and the approved Final EA will be made publicly available. The Notice of Availability will be placed in the Frederick News Post when available.
