MANCINI AT THE MOVIES TO APPEAR AT THE WEINBERG CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Frederick, Md. --- The Weinberg Center for the Arts is please to announce that Mancini at the Movies starring Monica Mancini and The Henry Mancini Institute Alumni Orchestra on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at 7:30 p.m.

A multi-media tribute to Academy Award®- Winning Composer Henry Mancini, Mancini at the Movies features Henry Mancini’s daughter, vocalist Monica Mancini, singing many of her father’s hits. Nominated for an unequalled 72 Grammy® Awards and the winner of 20 of those, the late Henry Mancini is one of America’s greatest composers. Monica Mancini started her impressive career as a member of the Henry Mancini Chorus, which led to a very successful career. Her current CD, The Dreams of Johnny Mercer, is Mancini interpreting a dozen songs that have lyrics by Johnny Mercer.

Monica Mancini is surely a singer not to be missed; with her beautiful voice and wonderful songs she will be a hit.
