MAYOR CALLS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION TO FOLLOW REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOP

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested an Executive Session to follow the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop on Wednesday, January 28. Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed Executive Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, and Section 10-508 (a)(1)(i) which states; to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at the conclusion of the 2 p.m. Workshop and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent.
