SATELLITE PARKING SHUTTLE BUS TO BE ON DISPLAY AT CITY HALL

Frederick, Md.--- Prior to Wednesday's Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop, elected officials and citizens are encouraged to tour one of the shuttle buses that will be in use this spring when the City of Frederick launches its Satellite Parking and Shuttle System. The bus will be on display beginning at 1 p.m., on Council Street (the north side of City Hall). At 2 p.m., the Mayor and Board of Aldermen will receive an update from the Satellite Parking Task Force on the status of implementation and proposed schedule. The public is encouraged to tour the shuttle bus and provide citizen comment on the subject at Workshop.

The satellite parking lot and shuttle are a part of the comprehensive downtown parking plan which includes the construction of a 4th parking garage, increases in parking rates as well as fines and changes in some regulations, such as restrictions in parking around Baker Park.
