NEIGHBORHOOD
ADVISORY COUNCIL (NAC) 5 MEETING ANNOUNCED
Frederick,
Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce
a meeting of the Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC)
5 on Thursday, February 19, 7 p.m., at Waverly Elementary
School. Key speaker that night will be Lt. Kevin Grubb,
Patrol Commander for the Frederick Police Department,
who will provide an update on the recently held Latino
Forum as well as talk about Juvenile crime and how the
community can make an impact. A question and answer
session with audience participation will follow. Michelle
Davis, Police Action League Coordinator (PAL), who will
talk about PALs purpose and how it fits in with
community efforts, will accompany Lt. Grubb. The public
is cordially invited to attend. Information will also
be provided to those who may be interested in NAC membership
and taking a more active role in their community.
NAC
5 is bound on the North by Fort Detrick and Montevue
Lane, on the East by Rosemont Avenue and Route #15,
on the South by West Patrick Street (Route #40), and
on the West by the Frederick City Limits. Includes Tasker's
Chance, Willowcrest, Stonegate Farms, Waterford, Carroll
Park Manor, Rock Creek Estates and Waverly Garden developments,
but does not include Fort Detrick.
Residents are encouraged to attend this NAC meeting
and get involved.
