MODIFICATION TO CITY’S NEW CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION PROGRAM
Frederick, Md. --- As a result of the campaigning efforts of the Neighborhood Advisory Councils (NAC’s) the City of Frederick is pleased to announce a revision to the NEW Christmas Tree Collection program. In addition to the four primary drop-off sites around the City, residents will also be allowed to set Christmas trees out with their normal trash collection. Trees under 6 feet will be collected without cutting; trees over six feet need to be cut in half. Residents who set their trees out with their normal trash collection please note they will not be recycled. Residents who wish to have their trees recycled for mulch may drop them off at the following tree drop off locations:
Max Kehne Park
7th Street
January 4, 2005

Taskers Chance Parking Lot
Key Parkway
January 5, 2005

Harry Grove Stadium Lower Parking
January 6, 2005

Husky Park
Highland Street (behind the Frederick Fairgrounds)
January 7, 2005

For either collection method please make sure trees are free of ornaments, garland, tinsel, lights, or tree stands. Also please remove any plastic bags from around the trees.
