COMMISSION/COMMITTEE VACANCIES

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick has vacancies on the following Commissions and Committees; Parks and Recreation Commission and the Microenterprise Loan Review Committee.

The Parks and Recreation Commission has a vacancy for one full member. This commission develops and recommends to the Planning Commission, Mayor, and Board of Aldermen, a master parks plan. Makes recommendations concerning equipment, design, supervision, and operations of all city parks, recreation areas and facilities. Approves the use of all city parks, recreation areas, and facilities not requiring the expenditure of City funds. Recommends the approval of the use of such facilities should the use require the expenditure of City funds.

The Microenterprise Loan Review Committee is seeking three full members; one representative from a local bank or credit union and two small business owners. For additional information please contact Jim Schmersahl, director of community development at 301-228-2840.
