SUMMER CONCERT SERIES SEASON FINALE
WFRE RADIO - NEW COUNTRY SHOWCASE
The Summer Concert Series season comes to an end in Baker Park on Sunday,
August 29th with a free evening of live country music, courtesy of WFRE Radio. WFRE’s ‘New Country Showcase’ features two, up-and-coming country artists who will perform on the bandshell stage beginning at 7 PM. Make sure you get to the park early; this is a show you won’t want to miss!
Amy Dalley, a professional singer and songwriter with the hit, “Men Don’t Change, ” is one of two performers that evening. Dalley’s songs speak an everyday language about concerns we all share, but with a musical touch that’s deft, teasing and wise, all at the same time. Playful entertainer, gifted vocalist, and down-to-earth observer of worldly foibles, there is something for everyone to enjoy in the music of Amy Dalley.
Nashville newcomer Ryan Tyler will also grace the bandshell stage. Tyler has already garnered a great deal of fan and radio acclaim for her powerful new single, “The Last Thing She Said.” Billboard magazine hails, “Tyler has a strong, textured voice, and she delivers the lyric convincingly - infusing the song with the right amount of drama. It’s a sensitive, evocative performance that signals the arrival of a major new talent.”
While the concert is free, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission to support the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank.
The Summer Concert Series would not be possible without the generous financial contributions made by the following community-minded businesses: Gold Sponsors - Drees Homes, BB&T, Bechtel Foundation, COMSTAR Federal Credit Union, Farmers and Mechanics Bank, and Sandy Spring Bank; Silver Sponsors - Bank One, CitiMortgage, and The Frederick News-Post; Bronze Sponsors - Cellular One, Chessie Federal Credit Union and the Frederick Arts Council.
