East Church Street Reconstruction Project Update
Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is reconstructing East Church Street.
The past week the sewer line work was completed within approximately 75 feet of Carroll Street.

Planned for the coming week is sewer construction to Manhole 3 (At Carroll Street) will be installed Monday, weather permitting. Test pitting for sewer re-design will follow. After the test pits are conducted, sewer lateral (house connections) installation will take place, from the new sewer line to the north side of the street. This will necessitate removal of sections of sidewalk in front of each house on the north side of the street, and moving traffic to the south side of street.

Three locations have been selected for test pitting, and those residents have been notified. If additional locations are required, we will be in touch. Please be aware that these locations will have temporary sidewalk for a longer duration than the rest of the surrounding neighbors.
