BRIDGE INSPECTIONS

Frederick MD – Please be advised that the County’s contractor for Bridge Inspections will be performing inspections on several City bridges. On August 16, 2004, the Monocacy Boulevard Bridge and the Mill Island Parkway Bridge will be inspected, in that order. On August 17, 2004 inspections will be performed on the bridge access to the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Gas House Pike Bridge. In each case, traffic control will be set up on the first bridge between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and after completion of the first inspection, the contractor will move to the second bridge. Expect to see one lane closed, resulting in traffic congestion. The Monocacy Boulevard Bridge will maintain two-way traffic; Mill Island and Gas House Pike Bridges will be flagged each direction, with one lane only, open. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Bridge will require complete closure.
