DOUGHERTY
APPOINTS DAVIS AS NEW EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR
Frederick,
Md. --- During an Executive Session of the Mayor and
Board of Aldermen today Stephanie Davis was named as
the new Executive Assistant to the Mayor for the City
of Fredrick. Davis will replace Eva Rosvold who tendered
her resignation on April 8th. Davis will start in her
new role effective May 1, 2004.
Davis
has been with the City of Frederick for 13 years. She
has worked under three mayors: Mayor Paul Gordon, Mayor
Jim Grimes and Mayor Jennifer Dougherty. Davis is a
native City of Frederick resident.
Davis
job responsibilities will include; overseeing the Capital
Improvement Projects and Facilities deadlines, as well
as overseeing the Mayors office administrative
staff. She will also participate in the Water NOW meetings,
and special projects including; Hope VI, Spire Art Project
and the annual Frederick Marathon.
Davis
management style, professionalism, and institutional
knowledge were leading factors in Doughertys decision
to recommend Davis be appointed to fill this critical
position in her administration. Dougherty stated, Stephanie
is a tremendous worker. She is professional, capable
and pragmatic. She is well suited to this career challenge
because she is smart and hardworking. Over the past
two years I have been very impressed with her attitude
toward the job and the City. The job also requires a
firm handle on things and she has demonstrated that
strength throughout her career with the City. The work
is important and I believe she is up to the challenge.
