She will also participate in the Water NOW meetings, and special projects including; Hope VI, Spire Art Project and the annual Frederick Marathon.

Davis’ management style, professionalism, and institutional knowledge were leading factors in Dougherty’s decision to recommend Davis be appointed to fill this critical position in her administration. Dougherty stated, “Stephanie is a tremendous worker. She is professional, capable and pragmatic. She is well suited to this career challenge because she is smart and hardworking. Over the past two years I have been very impressed with her attitude toward the job and the City. The job also requires a firm handle on things and she has demonstrated that strength throughout her career with the City. The work is important and I believe she is up to the challenge.”
