CITY OF FREDERICK SEEKING CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN AFFORDABLE
HOUSING TASK FORCE MEETINGS
.A PART OF COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN
Frederick,
Md. --- The City of Frederick is seeking citizen participation
in a task force dedicated to making housing more affordable
in the City. The Affordable Housing Task Force is a
part of the City's Comprehensive Plan effort, which
is currently being updated. The last update was completed
in 1995. The Comprehensive Plan is an important tool
not only for the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, but also
for the staff and citizens as it sets forth the policies
and goals that the City of Frederick will be striving
towards during the next 50 years.
This
task force will only be meeting three times. Results
of those meeting will result in a plan of action to
be incorporated in the Comprehensive Plan. The meeting
will take place as follows:
·
September 15, 2003 6:30 p.m. City Hall Board Room
· September 22, 2003 6:30 p.m. City Hall Board
Room
· September 29, 2003 6:30 p.m. TBA
Issues
to be discussed include the experience of Frederick
and Montgomery Counties with Moderately Priced Dwelling
Unit ordinances.
