IN THE STREET FESTIVAL OFFERS INCREDIBLE ENTERTAINMENT!

The 21st annual IN THE STREET celebration to be held on Market Street in downtown Frederick, Maryland on Saturday, October 4th, will offer event-goers an incredible entertainment line-up! This year’s festival has a wide range of music ranging from rock to blues to swing to R&B to country and more! Six stages of live entertainment will keep toes tapping and heads bopping, up and down Market Street!

Carroll Creek Stage

Starting at Noon on the Carroll Creek Stage, the Unity Reggae Band from Baltimore will please listeners with its unique, roots-based reggae music. At 1:30pm, Shai Lei Jones, winner of the Frederick News-Post Frederick Talent Search Vocal Competition will be performing. Boogiehawg, a band from Washington DC, takes the stage at 2:15pm and will offer a non-stop, high-energy dance mix of real music played by real musicians. Returning for a second year in a row, Mary Ann Redmond, blues singer, will perform at 3:45pm.

Second Street Stage

A fashion show by Velvet Lounge and Twisted Twill will kick-off the Second Street Stage at Noon. Following at 1:15pm, Big Cam & the Lifters will take you back to the music of the 1950’s and 1960’s while making the music irresistibly danceable. At 2:45pm, Divided By Zero takes the stage with a song list that includes classic rock, modern rock songs and all around good time party songs. Taking the stage at 4:15pm is the Star Spangled Big Band who will get the crowds dancing with their swing tunes!

Third Street Stage

A Stage dedicated to the little people, the Third Street Stage offers Kids Entertainment, including a magic show, from Noon until 5:30pm.

Fourth Street International Stage

Circle of Friends, a group of traditional musicians from the Washington DC area who specialize in music from the Isles - Scotland, Ireland, Shetland, England and also Cape Breton, Canada, will kick-off the Fourth Street International Stage at 12:15pm! At 1:45pm, steel band Caribbean Cocktail takes the stage. Baltimore, Maryland group, Patrick Alban & Noche Latina, takes the stage at 3:15pm and offers music with a combination of Latin and acoustic rock with a touch of salsa and a South Beach feel. Tranzfusion, a band from the Maryland Eastern Shore, follows at 1:30pm delivering fast paced sets of songs from the 1960’s to the present with an emphasis on classic rock. At 3:00pm, come jam with the bluegrass group, Phoenix, out of Charlottesville, Virginia. Last, but certainly not least, Country singer, Katy Benko, from Herndon, Virginia, takes the stage at 4:30pm. Come experience the music that has allowed her to open for many of Nashville’s top stars at major venues across the region.

Seventh Street Stage

Playing from 1pm-5pm on the Seventh Street Stage is the Justine Hall Band and Reggie Davis. Local artist Justine Hall is no newcomer to the Frederick music and stage scene. Her performance gives you soul, funk and R&B with lots of high energy and character.

ON THE DECK Party

From 6pm-9pm, come party ON THE DECK atop Carroll Creek Parking Deck with The Reagan Years. This local band of seasoned musicians recreates the sounds of the 1980s! The Reagan Years has achieved "headline status" in both nightclubs and concert venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
