CITY ANNOUNCES SPECIAL STORM DAMAGE COLLECTION RESULTING FROM ISABEL

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick sustained significant damage to trees last week as a result of Isabel. Because of this, the City will be offering a special tree collection service. Property owners in the City may place downed branches and trees along the curb (crews will not go onto private property) by Wednesday evening, September 24. City crews will perform the collection sometime on Thursday, September 25 and Friday, September 26. There will be no call back dates. We ask that the property owners assist by cutting up the branches and trees into 4 to 6 foot sections. Large trees (greater than 12 inches in diameter) should be handled through your homeowners insurance.
