FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The
City of Frederick Welcomes New Business Development
Specialist
The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development
(DED) is excited to announce the addition of a Business
Development Specialist. Susan Jessee comes to the department
with six years of experience in business development,
in addition to extensive experience in the bioscience
industry.
Born and raised in Frederick, Mrs. Jessee received both
her B.A. in biology and her MBA from Hood College. Her
expertise in the bioscience industry is a valuable asset
to DED, enhancing the City's ability to target this
core industry sector.
As
Business Development Specialist, Mrs. Jessee will focus
on the retention and recruitment of businesses to The
City of Frederick. In addition, she will work on various
projects aimed at achieving the goals and priorities
of DED, which include job creation, infrastructure development,
downtown revitalization, and corridor revitalization.
DED
was created in July of 2002 with 2 employees. Through
successes such as the Golden Mile Revitalization District
and Community Legacy Project, as well as up-and-coming
initiatives such as the Carroll Creek Project and the
Fort Detrick Alliance, the time was right for expansion
within the department.
DED
is located at 104 North Court Street in Downtown Frederick.
For more on any of their projects and initiatives call
301.698.8118 or visit www.cityoffrederick.com.
