CITY ANNOUNCES LIBERAL LEAVE FOR EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE NOON TOMMOROW

Frederick, Md. --- In preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Isabel City of Frederick Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has approved Liberal Leave for all non-essential employees beginning at 12 p.m., tomorrow, Thursday, September 18. This decision was made after extensive emergency preparation meetings with the City Chiefs and Directors, as well as the American Red Cross and Lt. Jack Markey, director of the Frederick County department of emergency and disaster planning.

Also note that Friday, September 19, is a designated City holiday. All payments and correspondence may be placed in the drop box on the Church Street side of City Hall.

City Hall will reopen for business at 8 a.m., on Monday, September 22.
