CITY
OF FREDERICK ESTABLISHES MEDIA CENTER TO KEEP CITIZENS
UP TO DATE EVERY HOUR DURING HURRICANE ISABEL
Frederick,
Md. --- Please be advised that the City of Frederick
will establish and open a Media Center in City Hall
in an effort to keep citizens informed and up to date
on the progression of Hurricane Isabel. Hurricane Isabel
is expected to bring substantial rain and winds ranging
from 30 - 60 miles per hour to our community.
Beginning
on Thursday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m., the City will
give hourly updates, on the half hour, relating to Hurricane
Isabel and other relevant information. Updates will
be ongoing throughout the night and into Friday, September
19. In the event that City Hall loses power, citizens
are encouraged to rely on local television and radio
for timely updates. Those stations include: WAFY/Key
103.1, WFMD AM930, WFRE FM99.9, as well as local television
channels; Frederick County Government Channel 19, City
of Frederick Channel 99, NBC 25 and Adelphia Channel
10.
The
City will also update its website, www.cityoffrederick.com
and Emergency Public Information Line, 301-600-1300,
as information becomes available.
