Frederick, MD. --- The Weinberg Center for the Arts is proud to present Rennie Harris Puremovement In Repertory World Tour on Sunday November 23, 2003 at 3:00 p.m.

Rennie Harris is a contemporary urban griot who has made hip-hop gesture his language of story telling and conjuring.  He formed his company, Puremovement in 1992, as a place where he could explore hip-hop without concession to commercial interests. In the name of the company was embedded a philosophy: “Pure” movement refers to Harris’s self-imposed mandate to explore movement that embodies his aesthetic and thematic concerns.

Rennie Harris Puremovement (RHPM) has established a strong reputation in Philadelphia for innovative and exciting classes and workshops for children beginning with Rennie Harris’ own involvement teaching as part of the Smithsonian Institution’s Folklife Center from the age of 14.

This show promises to be full of exciting dance movements and a huge display of entertainment. Everyone in the family will enjoy this show.

Tickets cost $15, $25, and $30 to purchase call 301-228-2828 or stop by the Weinberg Center Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
