Frederick, MD. --- The Weinberg Center for the Arts is pleased to present Shelby Lynne on Wednesday, November 12, 2003.

Shelby Lynne’s career has taken some twists and turns, but the path that led to Identity Crisis, her breathtaking new album, fulfills her 13-year journey of artistic self-discovery. A virtual one women project, with Lynne writing all the sounds and performing all vocals and guitars and most of the drums with minimal though colorful added accompaniment, Identity Crisis, is by far her most personal, most emotional and most true to herself album – even more so than 2000’s acclaimed I am Shelby Lynne, itself a breakthrough statement so dramatic that it earned her the best new artist Grammy Award despite her having five previous albums and a decade of touring under her belt.

Identity Crisis encompasses deep introspective, self-doubt yielding to courage and confidence, mistrust leading to faith in love, with musical echoes of such Lynne heroes as Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Les Paul, Mary Ford, Chet Baker and Willie Nelson.

Lynne’s performance promises to be nothing short of spectacular and an unforgettable show.

Tickets cost $18 and $28 to purchase call 301-228-2828 or stop by the Weinberg Center Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
