CITY OF FREDERICK ANNUAL WATER ALLOCATION MASTER LIST UPDATE

Frederick, Md. --- Pursuant to the Water Allocation Ordinance passed by the City of Frederick's Board of Aldermen on September 19, 2002, the City will open its Water Allocation Ordinance Master List for new projects and existing projects to be re-evaluated based on their development review status as of December 1st. In order for a new project to be placed on the Water Allocation Master List or for a project currently on the list to be reevaluated a new application form must be completed and returned to the City of Frederick Planning Department by Friday December 12, 2003. Applications are available online at www.cityoffrederick.com. At this point the City will update the Water Allocation Ordinance Master List to show the status of all projects eligible for water in 2004. Once the update is completed the revised list will be available on the City's website for review.

The Water Allocation Ordinance governs the allocation of water to all development projects requiring water and/or additional water from the City. In November of 2002 the City established a Water Allocation Master List in order to track all development projects requesting water from the City. This list was developed utilizing application forms submitted by property owners, developers, consultants and other interested parties. Residential projects were evaluated based on their development review status as of December 1, 2002 and non-residential projects were evaluated based on their development review status as of the effective date of the Water Allocation Ordinance, September 19, 2002.

Please note all projects are eligible to be reassessed annually based on their development review status as of December 1st of each year.
