Frederick, Md. --- Please note Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty’s tentative schedule for Saturday, November 1 through Friday, November 7.

Saturday, November 1, 2003

• Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will attend an art show opening for Jeff Fioravanti, 12 p.m., Civil War Medicine Museum.

• Mayor Dougherty will attend the Grand Opening of NewVision Gallery, 4 p.m., 241 East 4^th Street. The Mayor will also present the new gallery with a Frederick First Certificate.

• The Mayor will attend another art show at The Artists Gallery, 4 East Church Street, 5 p.m.

Sunday, November 2, 2003

• No public appearances scheduled to date.

Monday, November 3, 2003

• Mayor Dougherty will attend an informal coffee at Sunrise Retirement Center, 9:30 a.m.

• The Mayor will be one of the first users of the recently installed Pay and Display parking ticket machine, 10:45 a.m., outside of the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

Tuesday, November 4, 2003

• Weekly News Conference, 10 a.m., City Hall Board Room. Broadcast live on Channel 99!

Wednesday, November 5, 2003

• Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop, 2 p.m., City Hall Board Room. Agenda items include: Discussion on Frederick Arts Council Loan and Discussion of the Comprehensive Plan Preferred Scenarios. Broadcast live on Channel 99!

Thursday, November 6, 2003

· Mayor Dougherty will attend the Mental Health Association Legislative Breakfast, 7:30 a.m., Frederick Community College Cougar Café.

· Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting, 7 p.m., City hall Board Room.

Agenda items include: A Resolution to Adopt a Comprehensive Fee Schedule for Department of Recreation, A Purchase Order to Diversified Property Services, Inc. in the amount of $140,343.00 to provide property acquisition services for the City of Frederick Municipal Airport, A Resolution to Adopt the First Amendment to City of Frederick 22-year Pension Plan, Award of a Contract to Christopher Goodwin & Associates in amount of $12,982.00 for Phase I Archeological Study for Site C, Award of a Contract to Gabe’s Services, Inc. in the amount of $482,761.00 for Riverside Center Park, Phase 1 (CIP P/N 410007), An Agreement with Boy Scouts of America, Local Troop #274, for a temporary easement on Jefferson Street adjacent to Prospect Plaza for the purposes of Christmas tree sales, Award of a Contract to BMK, Architects, in the amount of $99,500 to perform a feasibility study to determine the size, conceptual design, location, cost and schedule of a new headquarters facility for the City of Frederick Police Department and Appointments.

• Mayor Dougherty will once again be the guest of WFMD’s Morning News Express Show, 8 a.m.

• Mayor Dougherty will join members of the community at the City’s Department of Economic Development "Shaping Frederick's Economic Future: A Business Symposium", Rosenstock Auditorium at Hood College, 8 a.m. - Noon. The Business Gazette and Hood College are sponsors of the event.
