CITY PARTICIPATES IN

“BIKE TO WORK DAY” ON MAY 2

Frederick, Md. --- On Friday, May 2, members of the City’s Board of Aldermen will join City staff and others in riding their bikes to work to celebrate “Bike to Work Day”. Bike to Work Day is part of a national yearly effort, endorsed by the U.S. Department of Transportation, to highlight the benefits of bicycling, and to prove to commuters that it is feasible to leave the car at home for some journeys.

Kick off will be at the Transit Center, from 7 – 8:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be available and participants can register for door prizes.

“Bike to Work Day” is an annual event sponsored by the Commuter Connections, which is a part of Washington Council of Governments.
