HIGH WATER AREAS IN CITY OF FREDERICK

Frederick, Md. --- Please be advised of the following area in the City of Frederick where you may encounter high water today, June 4, 2003, as a result of heavy precipitation. Please proceed with caution in the following areas:

Hamilton Avenue
Pennsylvania Avenue
Rocky Springs Road, from the Frederick County Bus shop to Kemp Lane
Shookstown Road - by the BB&T -Courtesy Bridge
Shookstown Road, Lake Coventry to Waverly Drive
Waverly Drive, Key Parkway to the first Mall entrance
Gas House Pike, near the FMH Building
West Patrick Street, near Frederick High School
Highland Street, Yard 2 to E. Church Street
Highland Street, near Monroe Avenue
East Patrick Street, Monocacy Blvd. to Monroe Avenue
Monroe Avenue at East Patrick Street

Motorists who encounter closed roads should seek an alternate route. Do not cross water of an unknown depth. The water may float your car...and prevent you from crossing safely.
