CITY
CONDUCTING SURVEY IN NEIGHBORHOOD SOUTH OF FAIRGROUNDS
Frederick,
Md.--- The City of Frederick is documenting several
historic properties located outside of the boundaries
of the Frederick Town Historic District. The survey,
being completed by Paula Reed and Associates of Hagerstown,
Maryland, will focus the neighborhood south of the Frederick
Fairgrounds. Residents may notice photographers in this
area, but all photographs will be taken from public
rights-of-way. Floor plans will be prepared for a select
number of houses. Residents of Maryland Avenue, Virginia
Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Hamilton Avenue, and East
Patrick Street near the Frederick Fairgrounds should
contact Linda Gravitt in the Planning Department 301-696-2995
if they are interested in having their boundaries documented
with floor plans and interior photographs.
The
results of this survey will be filed at City Hall and
at the Maryland Historical Trust. It is anticipated
that this survey will be completed by the end of the
summer. At that time, residents can obtain a copy of
the documents the City has prepared regarding their
property at the Planning Department in City Hall.
