Continue your Independence Day celebration
in historic Downtown Frederick with First Saturday Gallery Walk. Saturday, July 5, the community is once
again invited to experience First Saturday Gallery Walk. Mark your calendar for the July 5 event and
join over 60 participating galleries, shops and restaurants as they showcase
the best of Downtown Frederick. Mingle
with featured guest artists, view new exhibits at local galleries and enjoy
music, live entertainment and special events at downtown shops. Sample light fare and sweet treats at
specialty stores and check out new product lines for summer.
“First Saturday Gallery Walk is a great
way to check out what’s new downtown,” states downtown resident Elizabeth
Johnson. “I am thrilled to see new
businesses that are unique to the area and are not found at a mall,” she
continues. Local resident Tammy Barns
adds, “I enjoy the upbeat atmosphere First Saturday Gallery Walk brings to the
streets. I’ve told friends who live in
DC to come and they were equally impressed.”
First Saturday Gallery Walk is a monthly
event sponsored by the Greater Frederick Development Corporation (GFDC) in cooperation with downtown
merchants, the Tourism Council of Frederick County, and the City’s Department
of Economic Development.
