MAYOR CALLS A SPECIAL MEETING OF

THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has called for a special meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen to take place on Wednesday, January 22, prior to the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop. The Special Meeting will begin at 2 p.m. with the Workshop immediately following.

At the Special Meeting Alderman Joe Baldi will make a motion to reconsider his Thursday, January 16, 2003 motion to seek the advise of the City of Frederick’s Ethics Committee regarding whether or not a Alderman should recuse him or herself from quasi judicial hearing’s where campaign contributions have been received by the applicant. If the motion passes, Riverside’s Claim of Entitlement will be placed on an agenda, which is convenient for both parties. If the motion fails, the City’s Ethics Committee will convene on this matter.
