SPACES STILL AVAILABLE FOR FREDERICK 101

 

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick still has a few spaces still available for interested residents to enroll in the winter session of Frederick 101.  Frederick 101 is free, six-week citizens awareness program, designed to educate residents about City services, City operations, and interesting Citywide issues.  The program is designed to be an interactive tour through the Frederick community and will be lead by the City's Chiefs and Directors and interesting community leaders.

 

Frederick 101 will provide you with the following:

·                Information about your community;

·                Information on how to get involved and make a difference; and

·                An opportunity to meet your neighbors and interesting classmates.

 

Classes will be held on Tuesdays in March at various City locations, with classes beginning at 7 p.m.  One Saturday class is scheduled for March 29, 9 – 11:30 a.m., which will include a tour of one of the City’s Water Treatment Plants. Two dates have been scheduled in early April for presentations by students and a graduation ceremony.  The first class is next Tuesday, March 4, at City Hall.

 

Frederick 101 is limited to 25 residents.  Interested residents should contact Vincent Hughes, Chief Operations Officer of Citizens Services, to enroll at

301-360-3839 or via email at vhughes@cityoffrederick.com.  Interested residents will be required to provide their name, address, phone numbers (day and evening), and email address (where applicable) to register.
