CHANGES
ANNOUNCED FOR RESCHEDULED KRIS KRINGLE PROCESSION
The
Kris Kringle Procession, postponed by last week's snow
and ice storm, will be held Friday, Dec. 12. This procession
will be slightly different than the one originally planned.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m., thirty minutes earlier
than usual. In addition, the procession will begin at
the corner of Patrick and East Streets instead of Everedy
Square. Participating groups will line up on South East
Street between Patrick and All Saints Streets between
5 and 5:30 p.m. Drop off parking will be available in
the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center parking lot.
The
following streets will be closed to traffic between
approximately 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.:
1.
S. East St., between All Saints St. and E. Patrick St.
2. Market St., between South St. and 2nd St.
3. 2nd St., between Chapel Alley and College Ave.
4. Dulaney Ave. between W 2nd St. and Rockwell Terrace
5. Memorial Parkway
6. N. Court St., between W. Patrick St. and W. 3rd St.
7. W. Church St., between N. Court St. and N. Market
St.
8. Maxwell Alley, between E. Church St. and E. Patrick
St.
9. Carroll St., between E. Church St. and E. All Saints
St.
The
procession ends with closing ceremonies, caroling and
the lighting of the official City tree at Baker Park.
