KENNETH
SHAPIRO JOINS CITY AS ASSISTANT ATTORNEY
Frederick,
Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to welcome
Kenneth J. Shapiro as assistant City attorney. Shapiro
will support the Office of Legal Services in providing
high quality legal services to the City of Frederick
and the City Police Department.
Shapiro
comes to us with seven years experience at the local
level, practicing with both the Montgomery County and
Frederick County State Attorneys Office. Most recently
Shapiro served in the Felony Trial Division of the Frederick
County State Attorneys Office, as a Chief of the Juvenile
Division and as a District Court Prosecutor with the
same office.
Shapiro
received his Bachelor's Degree (in Finance and Marketing)
from Ohio University and graduated from the University
of Baltimore School of Law.
"My
sincerest thanks to Liz Watson for her service to the
Frederick Police Department and the citizens of Frederick.
She will be sorely missed," stated Chief Kim Dine.
"I
am extremely pleased to be working with Kenneth Shapiro
as our legal adviser. His intimate knowledge of policing,
prosecution, and the City of Frederick will be an outstanding
asset to the agency," added Chief Dine.
Shapiro
is a member of the Frederick County Bar Association
and currently resides in the City of Frederick with
his wife Joanna, son Chase, and daughter Emma.
