CITY HALL INSTITUTES NEW VISITOR BADGE POLICY

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick has instituted a new security policy for visitors to City Hall in an effort to create a more safe and secure environment. Effective today, December 2, 2003, all visitors to City Hall must sign-in at the Receptionist Desk in the main lobby of City Hall and wear visitor badges while in the building. Badges will be required of all visitors, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Badges will not be necessary for those attending public meetings in the Board Room.

Also all visitors must use the main entrance, unless in need of handicap accessibility. No entrance through the Church Street and Record Street entrances will be allowed.

The City appreciates everyone help in abiding by this new security policy.
