FREDERICK POLICE DEPARTMENT RESCHEDULES
LATINO FORUM

Chief Kim Dine of the Frederick Police Department announced today that the Inaugural Latino Forum, previously scheduled for December 5, 2003 and cancelled because of a snow emergency, has been rescheduled for Friday, January 23, 2004.

The Police Department created this forum in an effort to enhance communications efforts with the city's ever-growing Latino population. The goal of the forum is to open lines of communication, share resources, discuss ideas, and establish relationships within the community.

Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty and Chief Kim Dine will both speak at the event. The forum will also include a business card exchange, discussion by Lt. Kevin Grubb on Out-Reach Efforts, roundtable discussions, and discussion by Lt. Thomas Chase, Criminal Investigations Commander, on community issues and concerns.

The Forum will be held at the Multi-purpose Building of the Frederick Police Training Academy, 6424 Plant Road, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
