CITY RECEIVES FEMA REIMBURSEMENT FOR PRESIDENT'S DAY STORM 2003

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick has received a check from FEMA in the amount of $105,250.23 for reimbursement for snow removal costs from the President's Day Blizzard. This reimbursement represents 75% of the costs the City incurred for only a 24-hour period during or after the storm.

The reimbursed costs were incurred during FY03, and will not affect FY04 budget. The figures were anticipated and accrued as revenue for last year.
