Downtown Frederick's First Saturday Gallery Walk
Saturday, September 6th

Downtown Frederick presents a fun fall evening of events for this month's First Saturday Gallery Walk. Join over 60 participating galleries, shops and restaurants September 6, until 9:00 p.m. Check out new fall product lines at many of the specialty shops. Stroll along the streets while enjoying music performed by live musicians playing familiar and original tunes. Mingle with featured artists and view new exhibits. Snack on hors d'oeuvres and sip beverages while experiencing the best of what downtown has to offer.

"September is such a great month to celebrate Downtown Frederick," comments local resident and part owner of Thyme Square restaurant Kendi O'Neill. "The humidity is on the decline, the leaves are starting to change, the shops and residences downtown are decorating for fall and putting mums on their front stoops. Many of the restaurants start new menus this month giving people the perfect excuse to come and see what's new for the season," adds O'Neill.

First Saturday Gallery Walk is a monthly event sponsored by the Downtown Frederick Partnership (formerly GFDC) in cooperation with the downtown merchants, the Tourism Council of Frederick County, and the City's Department of Economic Development.
