FREDERICK 101 GRADUATION TONIGHT

 

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick will host a graduation ceremony tonight for 22 graduates of the City of Frederick’s Winter 2003 Frederick 101 Program.  Frederick 101 is a free, six-week citizens awareness program, designed to educate residents about City services, City operations, and interesting citywide issues.  The program was designed to be an interactive tour through the Frederick community and was led by the City's Chiefs and Directors and interesting community leaders.

 

Participants in this session learned about several key areas in City government such as; legal services; public information; public works and its services, as well as the Weinberg Center.  The 22 participants were also required to give a presentation on the City.  According to Vincent Hughes, Chief Operations Officers for Citizen Services and leader of the Frederick 101 Program, the presentation contents were well-researched, professional and of the highest quality. 

 

Graduates of the Winter 2003 Frederick 101 class include; Lance English, Julie Marker, Frances Horgan, Tom Fry, Ron Stuckey, Carol Stuckey, David Spence, Molly Spence, Andrea Evanger, Doug Ludwig, Cheryl Ludwig, Linda Howard, Mike Howard, Candy Greenway, Sue Walsh, Mike Bradley, Gail Bradley, Sal Chavez, Sarah Finefrock, Alison Lynch, Bunny LaDouceur and Carol Haag.
