MAYOR CALLS AN EXECUTIVE SESSION OF

MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has called for an Executive Session of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen to take place on Wednesday, April 9, prior to the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop. The Executive Session will begin at 1 p.m., in City Hall’s Room 214, with Workshop immediately following in the City Hall Board Room.

Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed Executive Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508(a)(10)(ii).

The Mayor is requesting that she, along with the Board of Aldermen, go into a closed Executive Session for the purpose of; Discussion of Public Safety; development and implementation of emergency plans.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect prior to the Public Meeting and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will convene at 2 p.m. for the regular Workshop.
