MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE ADDS MONOCACY VILLAGE TO SPRAY AREA

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick was informed today that the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) will also be spraying the area of Monocacy Village will be spraying Permethrin, a repellency for adult mosquitoes. This area in included to the area from Patrick Street through 7^th Street after 11 p.m., today, September 25. The process is now estimated to take between two and a half to three hours to complete.

Small amounts of Permethrin are used in the fog-like spraying. Residents on the east side of town are encouraged to close their windows prior to 11 p.m. tonight. The spray disseminates in the air within a 30-minute period.
