MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, September 16, at 10 a.m., in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed.

1. Preview of Water Allocation Ordinance

2. Human Relations Commission - Naturalization of Citizens

3. Eighth Annual Frederick Open - Weightlifting Championship

4. Drought Update

5. Streets & Sanitation Committee Meeting - Agenda items include...

...Discussion of parking "high" vehicles on the street (sight issue)

...Discussion of commercial trash pick-up on holidays to avoid pile-up on streets

...Discussion of the use of "speed humps" as a traffic calming device in subdivisions

All of these discussion items are as a result of Neighborhood Roundtables conducted last winter and during the summer months.
