CITY PLANS COMMUNITY MEETING

FOR FREDERICKTOWNE VILLAGE

Frederick, Md. --- A community meeting has been scheduled for the residents of the Fredericktowne Village community for Monday, September 23, 2002, at 7:30 p.m., in the cafeteria at Thomas Johnson Middle School.

The meeting will be an Information Session presented by the City of Frederick and Maryland Environmental Service (MES) concerning the emergency placement of a portable Water Treatment Plant at Riverwalk Park. The current initiative, developed by MES, places a portable Water Treatment Plant at one of the existing parking lots to process water produced by a well which the City is currently working on. The plant is necessary to service the water needs of our community.

The Mayor and City Staff will also address any issues or concerns facing the residents of the Fredericktowne Village community.
