MAYOR CALLS EXECUTIVE SESSION AT COMMENCEMENT OF REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOP

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested an executive session at the beginning of the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop on October 30.

Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed executive session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508 (a)(1)(i).

The Mayor is requesting that prior to the regularly scheduled Workshop, she along with the Board of Aldermen, to go into a closed session executive session for the purpose of discussion of a personnel matter.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at today’s Workshop and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will convene at 2 p.m. for the regular Workshop meeting.
