GOLF STATE TOURNAMENT

Frederick, Md. --- The City of Frederick is pleased to announce that the City’s municipal golf course, Clustered Spires, was chosen from over 300 other courses to be the site of the rescheduled Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association’s golf state tournament. The tournament, which has been held at the University of Maryland for over four decades, had to be relocated due to the recent sniper attacks in the D.C. metropolitan area and the suspension of outdoor activities in many surrounding counties.

The tournament, which has been condensed to be completed in one-day, on Monday, October 28, has the largest field in tournament history.
