MAYOR CALLS EXECUTIVE SESSION TO FOLLOW REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOP

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested an executive session to follow the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop on October 2.

Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed executive session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508 (a)(1).

The Mayor is requesting that after the regularly scheduled Workshop concludes, that she along with the Board of Aldermen to go into a closed session executive session for the purposes of discussion of appointments to boards and commissions and a personnel matter.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at tomorrow’s Workshop and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will convene at 2 p.m. for the regular Workshop meeting.
