MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S SCHEDULE FOR VETERANS DAY OBSERVATIONS

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has several public appearances planned in observation of Veterans Day. Please note her public appearances planned to date.

Thursday, November 7, 2002

· The Mayor and City of Frederick Police Chief Kim Dine will attend a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Odd Fellows Home, at 10:00 a.m.

Monday, November 11, 2002

· City of Frederick closed in observation of the holiday.

· The Mayor will attend Francis Scott Key Post #11, the American Legion, annual observation of Veterans Day, at 11:00 a.m., at Memorial Grounds, 2^nd and Bentz Streets. An informal reception will follow at the Post Home, 1450 Taney Avenue.

· The Mayor will offer remarks at the Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night. All 400-plus Golden Corral Restaurants will offer all veterans and retired and active duty members of the United States Military a free dine-in dinner buffet. The Mayor will offer her remarks at the Golden Corral located on Route 355, beginning at 3:45 p.m.
