MAYOR CALLS EXECUTIVE SESSION TO FOLLOW REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOP

Frederick, Md. --- Mayor Jennifer P. Dougherty has requested an Executive Session at the end of the regularly scheduled Mayor and Board of Aldermen Workshop on November 6. Mayor Dougherty will request a vote of the Aldermen to convene the meeting as a closed Executive Session. This action is in accordance with the authority granted under the Annotated Code of Maryland, State Government Article, Section 10-508(a)(1); 10-508(a)(3); and 10-508(a)(8).

The Mayor is requesting that she, along with the Board of Aldermen, go into a closed Executive Session for the purpose of; Discussion of a personnel matter, Consult with legal regarding potential or pending litigation; and Discussion of acquisition of real property.

The Mayor will entertain a motion to this effect at today’s Workshop and will comply with the Open Meetings Act to the fullest extent. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will convene at 2 p.m. for the regular Workshop.
