LIVE BROADCAST OF MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN WORKSHOPS BEGINS MARCH 6

Beginning on Wednesday, March 6, the Workshop of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen will be shown live on Channel 99. The Workshop begins at 2 p.m.

“The ability to reach our citizens through the broadcast of public meetings is a vital part of open government,” stated Mayor Jennifer Dougherty. “I am very pleased that the City is beginning to expand its broadcast of public meetings on channel 99. I look forward to the additional enhancements that will be available soon.”

In addition to the public Workshop, three other public meetings are currently shown on Channel 99. These include the Mayor and Board of Aldermen Regular meeting held the first and third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m., the Historic District Commission meeting held the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. and the Planning Commission meeting held the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Future enhancements for Channel 99 include the live broadcast of the Mayor’s weekly news conference and the rebroadcast of the aforementioned meetings at different dates and times throughout the week.
