MAYOR DOUGHERTY’S WEEKLY NEWS CONFERENCE

Mayor Jennifer Dougherty will hold her weekly news conference on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 AM in the Board Room of City Hall. The following items will be discussed:

Strategic Interim Water Plan Draft: Mayor Dougherty received a draft of a Strategic Interim Water Plan from City staff on March 1. The plan contains an analysis of the City’s current and future water sources and lays out several different objectives. The objectives include establishing reliable interim sources of water, instituting conservation measures and a growth management-monitoring program.

Future City policy on production capacity and policy decisions will be determined by maximum day demand predictions. Mayor Dougherty will also review what might be included in a mandatory conservation program.
